Morgan's Pier Makes Two Big Announcements about the 2018 Season!
Each season, Morgan’s Pier, Philadelphia’s seasonal backyard beer garden along the Delaware River Waterfront, invites a different renowned chef to take over the kitchen with their own version of a chef-hosted cookout, combining casual eats with celebrated expertise. Starting this April 19th, you can find Adam Lazarick, who has been working with FCM Hospitality in various culinary capacities over the past year, at the Pier as the 2018 Chef-in-Residence whipping up creative American classics along with the revival of favorites from previous seasons.
After many years in the culinary world working under Jason Cichonski and Jon Cichon at Lacroix at the Rittenhouse as Executive Sous Chef and time spent at Stateside and Ela as Executive Chef, most recently Lazarick has been helping develop the food programs at FCM locations including the Craft Hall Pop-Up, Parks on Tap and currently Morgan’s Pier. Lazarick is most looking forward to “the high energy atmosphere of the Pier and watching people enjoy their meal outside in a nice and relaxing setting.” When describing his menu plans he says, “it will embrace the change of the seasons in relation to the produce I will be getting in locally.”
Lazarick is also excited to be teaming up again with acclaimed baker, Alex Bois of Lost Bread Co. (FCM partner) to bring back “Fatbread” pizzas with Bois' special dough and fresh rolls for the sandwiches. Lazarick’s menu includes his personal favorite and a Philly staple, the Roast Pork Sandwich with provolone cheese, long hot relish and Lost Bread Co.’s seeded roll. Another classic summer snack on the menu is a Sour Cream and Onion Dip served with potato chips. “It will be a fun play on the traditional dip using lots of different alliums,” the chef explains.
Weekly entertainment to get excited about includes: monthly “Yappy Hour” Fundraisers with the PSPCA, Beaucycled Succulent Workshops, Game Night on Tuesdays with chances to win at bingo, quizzo and baggo, and acoustic performances on Sundays. Plus, returning events including: Monthly Mini Beer Fests featuring local craft beer tastings, special Wednesday performances by the Sensational Soul Cruisers, Thursday Band Nights, and DJs playing all weekend long.
Stay tuned for a full 2018 menu to be announced soon!
