The Third Annual Fall Fest Returns to Morgan’s Pier September 29th - October 28th!
Back for a third run, with all of the fall wonderland trimmings plus added programming and a new menu by Chefs Kevin D’Egidio and Michael Griffiths, Fall Fest at Morgan’s Pier invites Philadelphia to savor the season on weekends beginning September 29 through October 28.
Weather-adjustable tents and outdoor heat lamps allow for an extended season, giving visitors the chance to sample all of the items on D’Egidio and Griffiths’ fall menu, featuring highlights such as: Blooming Onion served with long hot horseradish dip; Bratwurst “Fatbread” topped with roasted peppers and onions; and Apple Cider Donuts drizzled with Dulce de Leche icing. Stay tuned for the full food and drink menu!
The fall beverage program includes seasonal and local craft beers such as Manayunk Yunkin’ Punkin’ Ale, 2SP Coldcock IPA and Victory Festbier. To warm up a bit faster, guests can try a specialty cocktail like the Apple Spiced Toddy with Crown Apple, local apple cider, lemon juice and cinnamon or the S’mores with rum, hot chocolate, honey, chocolate drizzle and a ‘mallow.
Throw one back during any of the upcoming events happening during Fall Fest. Keep reading for a breakdown of all offerings:
Pumpkin Carving: Pumpkin carving is available all day on Saturdays and Sundays. Pick a pumpkin from the Pier’s patch and snag a carving kit to make a stoop-worthy creation for just $5 or $10.
DJ Entertainment: All weekend long during Fall Fest we will have DJs spinning throughout the day with NO cover charge!
Autumn Acoustics: Every Sunday during Fall Fest enjoy live acoustic performances from 3-7PM for the perfect “Sunday Fun-day” afternoon.
Oktoberfest: The best part of any Oktoberfest is the free-flowing beer and an excuse to eat pretzels. On Saturday October 7, from 2 to 6 p.m., Morgan’s Pier will have both, plus live music from Gypsy WIsdom for belting out all of the sing along drinking songs. For $35 guests receive open beer bar, unlimited soft pretzels and a glass stein for the first 200 attendees. Tickets on sale now at www.morganspier.com/oktoberfest
Dog Yappy Hour: On Sunday, October 8, from 12 to 4 p.m., take advantage of the last opportunity to bring your dog to dine at the Pier this season! In partnership with Tito’s Handmade Vodka, this fundraiser for the Pennsylvania SCPA will have giveaways for the pups but owners will be happy too – proceeds from yappy hour specials will go toward the cause, in addition to the other on site opportunities to donate.
Beaucycled DIY Succulent Workshop: The ever-popular outdoor workshop from Beaucycled will be back at the Pier during Fall Fest (date TBD). Guests can learn the basics of planting and caring for their very own succulent arrangement while enjoying a beer and a snack. Check www.beaucycled.com for more information and tickets.
Halloween: The grand finale of Fall Fest is Halloween – Morgan’s Pier style: the open bar bash and costume contest will end the season by inviting all attendees to drink the bar inventory dry. Hosted by Brittany Lynn, “The Don” of Philly’s Drag Mafia, on Saturday, October 28 from 9 p.m. to 2 a.m., with cash prizes, entry is $40 in advance, $50 at the door. Last year’s Halloween sold out, so it’s recommended to purchase early. Tickets go on sale Monday, October 2nd!
All Fall Fest activities are rain or shine, as the restaurant is installing cozy clear vinyl walls that can roll away or zip down depending on weather conditions, along with heat lamps to keep warm before the beer kicks in. Morgan’s Pier will be open for Fall Fest from September 29 to October 28. During the Fall Fest season, it will operate with adjusted hours: Friday 4 p.m. to close; Saturday and Sunday 11a.m. to close; closed Monday through Thursday.
